Edward Scheckler has been active in IT management and consulting in the Asia Pacific region for over 18 years, originally coming to Japan in 1991 as a visiting researcher at Hitachi, Ltd. in the field of what we now call nanotechnology. He has held senior management positions in IT infrastructure and technology at Credit Suisse and Citigroup, and is currently Global Head of Infrastructure at CLSA, Ltd – a leading independent and investment group headquartered in Hong Kong. In addition to his focus on financial services, Dr. Scheckler has been a consultant to venture capital and private equity, the pharmaceutical industry and the Japanese government on topics including data protection and intellectual property licensing. Dr. Scheckler holds BSEE and BA degrees from the University of Notre Dame, and earned his PhD at the University of California at Berkeley.

Naveen Mishra is a senior analyst in the Server Research team of Gartner Research. Mr. Mishra primarily focuses on analyzing the characteristics of the market for enterprise systems in Asia/Pacific, including India, where he is constantly keeping an eye on the supply-side evolution and demand-side drivers. He is actively engaged in helping vendors to identify and target the emerging opportunities in the Asia/Pacific market. Sal Fernando joined EMC Australia in 2004 as a strategic software engineer, before being appointed to the position of national technical product manager for Australia and New Zealand. Sal, who lives in Singapore, works across the region to build solutions to reduce cost, reduce risk and increase service levels for customers using all of EMC's product range (VMWARE, RSA, SMARTS, Documentum, Backup, Recovery, Archive and storage). With more than 22 years experience in the IT industry, Sal has worked in senior and specialist roles including Veritas, where he was Chief Technical Architect for Australia and New Zealand, TenFour Systems AG and Control Data. Tew Kiat spearheads the Business Continuity team in NCS and manages Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Management (BCM) Consultancy, Sales and Operations. Tew Kiat was the President for the Singapore Business Continuity Group (BCG) from 2005 to 2008. He was a Working Committee with the Singapore Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) to develop the industry standards SS507 - for DR & BC Service Providers. He also sits on the panel of the BCM Auditors with Spring Singapore, to audit organisations seeking BCM Certification. Tew Kiat was awarded the Asian BCM Lifetime Achievements Awards in Nov 2008.
