LK started Information Technology career in early ‘80 after serving a few years in the computer hardware industry. The IT experience started from MTRC and progressively gaining software development and technical support skills after joining Hong Kong Jockey Club.
LK got the breadth of IT infrastructure knowledge and experience when he worked for Computasia Limited, the IT arm of Hong Kong Telecom, in 1988. In Computasia, LK had established the Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) platform from the ground up to run the company mobile billing application CMIS, the predecessor of the current CSL's billing system GSMIS.
In CSL, LK is now leading the IT Infrastructure, Network and Operations teams to serve CSL IT services needs. CSL is now operating two data centres with over 400 servers and 100TB of storages. |

He spent part of his career as MVS system programmer and IT auditor at Bank of Montreal, Canada. |
Mr. Suen obtained B. Comm. Degree from McGill University, Canada, and completed the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA Degree in 2001. His professional qualification includes Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) in 1993 and Manager's Certificate (Distinction) in IT Service Management in 2004, ITIL Expert 2008 and Certified Software Tester (CSTE) in 2008.
Mr. Suen was the Hon. Treasurer and Vice President (Internal Affairs) of Hong Kong Computer Society from 1999 to 2003, and member of Committee on IT Training and Development of VTC from 2000 to 2007. As a founding member of IDC's Emerging Technologies Council, Claus' main focus is to identify 'The Next Big Thing' in the ITC space as well as explore the impact of Web 2.0 and New Media in the Asian Digital Marketplace.
Claus was previously Research Manager in IDC's Asia/Pacific Telecommunications research program with more than 8 years of experience in the area.
Prior to joining IDC, Claus had extensive telecom research experience working as an analyst for Informa Telecoms Group in London and subsequently in Hong Kong, covering mobile telecoms in Europe and Asia. He also worked on and led various projects covering mobile data usage in Europe, mobile handset production and reverse logistics in China and Mobile Number Portability around the world.
Before becoming a telecoms analyst, Claus was a Legal Officer with the Danish telecoms regulator where he was in charge of the Danish public tenders for two TETRA radio networks and consulted on 2G and 3G tenders and auctions. He also worked on Danish and European Union regulatory reforms representing Denmark in European Union and ITU meetings.
Claus is often quoted in regional and local publications like Reuters, The Deal and Hong Kong and Singapore newspapers. He has also appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg TV.

Ken has a wide range of experience with Microsoft and similar technologies during his 15+ years in the IT solutions marketplace. This includes his time working in Malaysia as a Senior Consultant for Microsoft Consulting Services led the team to a few strategic server projects including implementation of Microsoft Commercial Internet System for Telekom Malaysia Data Center, supporting 250,000 users in an ASP environment. Ken has also acquired regional knowledge on APAC and GCR during his time when his role require him to cover SEA, India, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Mr Frank Chan, the Chief Information Officer is responsible for the business development and strategy. Mr. Chan is a seasoned manager with over 35 years of IT experience in the system architect, IT Operations, Security, Recovery and Transformation Management.
He joined Newtech in July 2008 to take in charge of the Next Generation Data Center Solutions and the Data Center Life-cycle Management in decade that includes the opportunity discovery, pre-sale creation, design proposal, contract negotiation, project governance and services delivery, etc. He led and managed the successful data center projects included the Greater China Group and in the countries of Australia, Canada and Unite States.
Prior to joining Newtech, Mr. Chan was the General Manager with HP in China. He took in charge the Consulting & Integration Teams to provide solution and Services in the NGDC infrastructure portfolio that included the Data Center Planning, Construction, IT System Management (ITSM), BCRS and Security Services.
From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Chan was the Senior Project Executive with IBM in Canada. During the period, he was also to be the Director of IT Operations and Transition Management. He moved to IBM Greater Group in 2001 to become the Services Delivery Executive and the Chief Architect management position, leading the Technical Solutions Consultants to charter the IBM Global IT Infrastructure Solution for clients that included the JP Morgan, DBS Bank, Dai Sang Bank, PCCW, etc. He managed the data center enterprise infrastructure design & build in compliance to the HKMA standard. He had completed the mega Data Center projects that included the migration of customer’s core banking critical applications and the credit card public systems with a great challenge to be requested for an execution at the zero down time.
After graduating from the University of Hong Kong, Mr. Chan worked in the Cathay Pacific Airline’ as the Senior IT Operation Manager from 1974 to 1996. He had managed the CPA’s data centers migration project successfully from Hong Kong to Australia in 1995 that include the immigration of over 100 critical airline applications. The execution was completed transparent to the CPA’s airline business in the daily operations. |
